According to Dr. Bill Williams, Director of the Coastal Weather Research Center for the University of South Alabama, we have had one of the longest stretches of sustained cold since the mid-70s.
This cold weather causes your heat to run longer. With the cold, you use more electricity and this causes your electric bill to be higher.
