Singing River Electric recently conducted its annual review of the Emergency Preparedness Plan as hurricane season opens on June 1. Employees walked through the plan phases starting with actions to take when a storm enters the Gulf of Mexico until linemen have all power outages restored. This plan is reviewed and updated annually and has guided SRE through countless hurricanes, thunderstorms, and tornadoes. All departments are well trained in their roles to assist with outage restoration.
