NHN grants have big impact locally in 2019

Singing River Electric Neighbors Helping Neighbors community grants were created in 2000 with the first grants awarded in January 2001. Local nonprofits in the cooperative’s service territory are eligible to apply for grants up to $2,500 three times a year in January, May and September.

“The program was created for Singing River Electric to partner with nonprofits in our local communities,” said manager of public relations Lorri Freeman. “The partnership has resulted in more than $278,149 awarded to our local communities since the program started.”
